Generating AI reply suggestions
When you click Respond on a review, LocalImpact automatically generates an AI reply suggestion.
You can review the reply, make any changes you'd like, and then publish or copy it.
Customizing AI reply instructions
You can customize how AI writes replies for your business.
To update your instructions:
- Go to Settings → AI Replies
- Enter any additional instructions you would like the AI to follow
- Click Save
Examples:
- Keep replies short and professional.
- Avoid repeating the customer's exact wording.
- Reply in the same language as the review.
Your custom instructions apply to both AI-generated suggestions and Automatic AI Replies.
Automatic AI replies
Automatic AI Replies allow LocalImpact to automatically respond to new Google reviews that match your settings.
To enable Automatic AI Replies:
- Go to Settings → AI Replies
- Turn on Automatic Replies
- Choose the minimum review rating that should receive an automatic reply
- Click Save
Once enabled, new Google reviews that meet your selected criteria will automatically receive an AI-generated reply.

Which review platforms support AI Review Replies?
AI-generated reply suggestions can be generated for reviews from supported review platforms. Automatic AI Replies currently support Google reviews only.
Can I edit AI-generated replies?
Yes. You can modify AI-generated suggestions before publishing or copying them.
Can I still respond manually?
Yes. You can write and publish your own replies at any time.
Do custom instructions apply to automatic replies?
Yes. Any instructions saved in the AI Replies settings will be used for both manual AI suggestions and Automatic AI Replies.
Does AI reply to every review automatically?
No. Automatic AI Replies only respond to new Google reviews that match your selected minimum rating.
What happens if I disable Automatic AI Replies?
New reviews will no longer receive automatic replies. Existing replies will remain unchanged.
Do Automatic AI Replies respond to older reviews?
No. Automatic AI Replies only apply to new reviews received after the feature has been enabled.
